The City Council, with more than 600 users, manages the municipal services for the almost 90000 inhabitants registered in 2020 of the municipality of Cornellà de Llobregat.

The origin

Cybersecurity has always been one of the issues that the city council has been very aware of, especially in order to ensure that the government of the municipality and the provision of services were not stopped or harmed by a cyberattack.

In addition to all defensive measures, both physical and technological, there has always been an effort to train and raise awareness among all users in order to best prevent incidents.

“Even though we have many cybersecurity defense measures, we are aware that there is no 100% protection and that is why we also strive to reduce as much as possible the possible risk that could come from users,” says Òscar Toledano, IT Director of the City Council of Cornellà de Llobregat.

ATTACK Simulator’s Services

After evaluating different options for cybersecurity awareness and user training, the Cornellà de Llobregat City Council decided to contract ATTACK Simulator’s continuous interactive training services.

As Òscar Toledano, IT Director of the City Council of Cornellà de Llobregat explains, “within the range of possibilities for user awareness in cybersecurity, we felt that ATTACK Simulator’s year-round continuous interactive training, which in addition to training and raising awareness, always keeps users alert as it is not a course with an expiry date, was the most logical option and best suited our objectives.”
