The developers of a Malicious Chrome extension allegedly scraped Facebook profile data

Facebook has sued two Chrome devs for scraping user profile data – including names, user IDs, and more.

Two developers, known under the business name Oink and Stuff, developed four Chrome malicious browser extensions to be used with applications owned by Facebook. They tricked users into installing them by falsely claiming that they “do not store, access, transmit or share any sensitive or user private information,” but included hidden code “that functioned like spyware,” as alleged by Facebook.
